By Kabuye Ronald

National Unity Platform president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine and several others have been arrested by police for holding peaceful demonstrations.

The group led by Bobi Wine was arrested near City Square in Kampala as they held what they termed as a peaceful protest demanding the unconditional and immediate release of the NUP supporters who were abducted by state agencies.

In a related event, police from Kabalangala police station also arrested a group of youths who were holding placard at American Embassy Nsambya in demand of the release of the NUP supporters who were arrested.

They also demanded for the return of Bobi Wine victory who they believe won the 2021 general elections.

Bobi Wine was shortly detained at CPS kampala before being driven to his home in Magere Wakiso.

His home is now surrounded with heavy military deployment
