Journalists under their umbrella body Uganda Journalists Association (UJA) have entered into a partnership with the Cultural Consulate of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Uganda in abide to foster good working environment for scribes.
According to the UJA Secretary General Emmanuel Kirunda, their meeting with the Chancellor of Cultural Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Uganda H.E Muhammad Reza aimed at working together on advancement of good, acceptable and professional journalistic practices in Uganda which he said was successful.

The journalists association also took the pleasure to wish Iranians a prosperous and happy new year which started onthe 21st of March, 2021 as per their calendar.
“We take cognizance of the fact that the Islamic Republic of Iran has got her own calendar whose year has come to an end on this 21st day of March, contrary to an English calendar whose year ends on every 31st of December.
We therefore through the Iran Embassy to Uganda, congratulate all the Iranians for completion of the old year and wish you a fruitful new year.
We pray that Allah will answer your New Year prayers, successfully take you through it and keep our relations alive. Prosperous new year to you all.” Wrote Emmanuel Kirunda
