Officers at Iganga police station have arrested Manisulu Masegere, aged 50 years on suspicion of aggravated defilement of his own daughter.
Manisulu a resident of Bukona Namundudi B, in Nakalama sub county, Iganga district is pinned by her own daughter aged nine years old for defiling her.
According to SP Tulibagenyi Alloni, Busoga East police spokesperson, Masegere divorced the mother of his daughter five years back and since then the juvenile has been living with her grandmother in the same locality. He asserts that the manisulu used the chance of the grandmother going for a burial to force his own daughter into sex intercourse.
He adds that Police experts in sexual related offences are thoroughly investigating the matter.
SP Tulibagenyi further urged the public to be vigilant and jealously protect the children especially in this period of the lockdown and the perpetuators of such acts to desist from them
