MP Mwijukye Francis knocks two dead at Mbizzinya

Buhweju County Member of Parliament, Hon. Francis Mwijukye’ car on Sunday evening knocked two children dead at Mbizzinya–Kyengera Village near Buwama Town along Kampala-Masaka highway.

The accident occurred in the evening after his personalized number plate “MP WAITU” Land Cruiser knocked two pedestrians dead and injured a motorcyclist who was riding a bike Registration Number UDX577E.

Florence Nabukenya, 13 and Tadeous Lubyayi, 9- from the same family and residents of Mbizinya Village, Buwama Town Council are the ones who didn’t survive the nasty accident.

Hon. Mwijukye was in the car with three other occupants who survived with minor injuries.

Eyewitness said the MP’s driver James Barekye, 47, was over speeding the car, which went astray, knocked dead two children pedestrians before ramming into a motorcycle.

According to Katonga Regional Police Spokesperson, Lydia Tumushabe said Hon. Mwijukye and occupants in the car were saved from lynching by the angry residents and that they are safe.

The motorcyclist sustained a broken leg and was rushed to Gombe Hospital for medication.
