MP Francis Mwijukye survives deadly accident

Buhweju county Member of Parliament on Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) ticket Hon. Mwijukye Francis has reportedly survived a deadly accident in Mpigi district.

Mwijukye who was cruising in a land cruiser V8 with a private number plate “MP Waitu” is said to have survived with unserious injuries.

Francis Mwijukye was a commissioner of Parliament in 11th parliament and during the 2021 elections he was hospitalized after he was reportedly poisoned.

It was reported that the legislator’s food was laced with poison as he had lunch with his electorate in Buhweju. However the culprits were not disclosed.

Mwijukye is also a former Personal assistant to opposition strong man and former FDC president and presidential candidate Dr. kizza Besigye.
