Preparations for the repatriation and burial of the body of the deceased Archbishop for the Orthodox Church of Kampala and All Uganda Metropolitan Jonah Lwanga are in high gear.
On Wednesday, government and the Orthodox Church executive committee assured the public that the body of Metropolitan Jonah Lwanga will arrive at Entebbe international airport on Saturday morning from Greece where he breathed his last and be buried on Monday.

At the St. Nicholas Cathedral where the late prelate will be buried, various choirs are practicing for the Liturgies and Services to be conducted from the arrival of the prelate’s body until his burial. Similarly liturgies are being conducted on the daily praying for the soul of the deceased.
Mega tents have also been erected at Cathedral compound where mourners from all walks of the world will be hosted.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Makarios of Nairobi who is the currently care taker of the Diocese who will as well conduct the burial ceremony of Archbishop Jonah Lwanga is expected to land in the Country on Friday.
