UPC Dokolo Woman MP Candidate fully nominated

By Jumah Kakomo

The Independent Electoral Commission has on Monday fully nominated the Uganda People’s Congress UPC Dokolo Woman Member of Parliament candidate Sarah Aguti Nyangkori in the upcoming bye election.

Sarah Aguti Nyangkori was led by the UPC President Hon. Jimmy Akena and the Congress fraternity to EC offices in Dokolo for nomination.

Akena says in realization of his commitment to rebuild the Party through grassroots mobilisation. Just like Oyam North by-election, the Party President confirmed the entire UPC will be on the ground in support of our candidate.

Sarah Aguti Nyangori was declared the official Party flag bearer for the Dokolo Woman MP seat after stepping down of Comrades Josephine Acen Okullu and Anna Okwir who had shown interest in the position, in her favor during the UPC District Conference held on 19th February 2024 at Dokolo Catholic Parish.

On the same day, EC has nominated Forum for Democratic Change FDC candidate Dr. Rosemary Alwoc Ogwal who is also daughter to the late Cecilia Barbara Atim Agwal who was the incumbent.

In the same way National Unity Platform NUP candidate Ageno Harriet was also fully nominated
