Dokolo By elections: UPC top guns join Aguti’s campaign, attract a mammoth of supporters

Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) top leaders on Sunday joined their party flag bearer Sarah Aguti Nyangkori campaigns and President Hon Jimmy Akena ahead of the Dokolo Woman Member of parliament by-election on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

The campaign trail which is led by the Party President Hon. Jimmy Akena was joined by the Party Secretary General Fred Ebil, Maruzi North MP Nelson Okello Lemba and Oyam North MP Dr. Eunice Otuko Api, Hon. Maxwell Akora

Others are Maruzi MP Maxwell Akora, Amolatar LCV District Chairman Comrade Ocen Geoffrey, Alebtong LCV District Chairman Comrade David Kenneth Odongo, Division Mayors and Local Government Councilors, Regional Vice Chairperson of Lango Comrade Chris Ongom and Regional Party District Chairpersons.

The above with their party flag bearer Sarah Aguti traversed Agwata Sub County where they were welcomed by a mammoth of their supporters.

While at Tetugu village, Agwata sub county, Jimmy Akena exhibited confidence in their candidate saying she is very strong and thus they can’t waste time talking about their competitors like they do.

Sarah Aguti said her main focus is to transform Dokolo is through advocacy for agriculture, markets, infrastructure, good health care and education

UPC is increasingly getting momentum and support every single day.

The Dokolo Woman MP seat fell vacant after the death on January 18, 2024, of long-serving legislator Ceciia Barbra Atim Ogwal.
