Vivo Energy Uganda has wrapped up its highly successful and impactful ‘Simbula ne Rimula R3X’ campaign, which created excitement and brought significant benefits to customers across Uganda. The campaign culminated in the grand prize giveaway of two brand-new Mitsubishi Canter trucks to two lucky winners, marking the end of a rewarding journey for thousands of participants.
Launched in October 2024, the ‘Simbula ne Rimula R3X’ campaign introduced Shell Rimula R3X, a heavy-duty diesel engine oil formulated with a triple-action formula that provides superior engine protection, improves fuel economy, and extends engine life under extreme conditions. The product quickly gained the trust of both commercial transport operators and individual vehicle owners across the country, enhancing their vehicle performance and reducing maintenance costs.
Through the campaign, customers who purchased Shell Rimula R3X and serviced their vehicles at Shell service stations nationwide earned entries into weekly draws, where they won full tanks of fuel, airtime, branded merchandise, Shell Coolant, and other exciting prizes. These rewards kept participants engaged and motivated as they vied for the grand prize: one of two Mitsubishi Canter trucks.
Rebecca Nassiwa, Lubricants Brand Manager at Vivo Energy Uganda, expressed her excitement about the campaign’s success, stating, “We have rewarded over 5,000 customers, with more than 3,000 winners receiving prizes. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are proud to see how Shell Rimula R3X is benefiting taxi, truck, and elf drivers, as well as commercial transport businesses.”

Two lucky winners—one from Shell Katwe station and another from a reseller outlet in Mbarara—will drive away with brand-new Mitsubishi Canter trucks, giving their businesses a significant boost.”
