Kampala Parents’ School proprietor Dr Sudhir Ruparelia joined pupils, parents and teachers as the school marked the end of the second term with a colourful Culture and Future Day celebration.

The event turned the school into a lively display of music, dance, traditional dress and cultural heritage, with pupils showcasing traditions from different parts of Uganda and beyond.

Communities from the Central, Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern regions were represented through performances and displays, while the celebrations also featured East African and international cultures.

Pupils took to the stage in traditional attire, performing dances and presenting aspects of the customs and heritage associated with different communities. The event gave learners an opportunity to celebrate their own backgrounds while gaining an appreciation of cultures from other parts of the country and the world.

Sudhir Ruparelia was among those who attended the celebration, which parents described as one of the highlights of the school calendar.

The event also reflected Kampala Parents’ School’s motto, “We Struggle for the Future,” by combining cultural education with the school’s focus on preparing learners for an increasingly connected world.

Parents praised the school for the effort put into ensuring that the different cultures were represented, saying the occasion provided an important learning experience outside the classroom.

Beyond the colourful performances, Culture and Future Day carried a broader message about the importance of preserving cultural identity while embracing diversity.

The celebration provided a fitting end to the second term, leaving pupils, parents and teachers with memories of a day filled with tradition, entertainment and cultural pride.
