On Friday morning, a severe road accident at Nkumba Traffic Light along Entebbe Road has resulted in injuries to six pupils.

The collision involved an Isuzu bus, registered as UBA 839S, and a Toyota Double Cabin, with registration UG 2402C.
The incident occurred when the Isuzu bus, carrying students from Trust Infant Primary School in Nakaseke on an excursion to Entebbe Zoo, failed to brake as it approached the traffic lights from the Kampala side. The bus collided with the Toyota Double Cabin from behind, causing the bus to overturn.

According to Michael Kananura from the Traffic and Road Safety Directorate, the crash has left six pupils injured. Emergency services quickly responded, transporting the victims to Sub Medical Centre Nkumba for urgent medical care.

The driver of the Isuzu bus has fled the scene, and police have launched a manhunt to apprehend him.

Kananura has called on all motorists to ensure their vehicles are in proper working condition before setting out on journeys to avoid similar accidents in the future.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing as authorities work to understand the full circumstances leading to this serious incident.
