Artists David Lutalo, Amos Lovinz, Acidic Vokoz win Press Bpabeio Awards

Kabisi ka Ndagala musician David Lutalo has been crowned the Press Bpabeio Award Personality of the month August and September in a highly contested nomination.

David Lutalo won a race where artists Vyper Rankings, Spice Diana, Fik Fameica, Liam Voice, Winnie Nwanji, Azawi, Martha Mukisa and Karole Kasita were also nominated.

The Kirimanyi musician and a man from Bulamu Mutuba Events Amos Lovinz scooped the Must Watch Award where he was nominated against musicians Vyroota, Acidic Vokoz, Tyana Bax and King Fa.

In the same way, the Awards’ academy gave an appreciation Award to the Nkulinako Clash and Okyuse nnyo musician Acidic Vokoz who is currently under Mama Baba management.

The awarding ceremony that was held at HBT Russell Hotel in Kampala on Friday afternoon was graced by various invited guests and journalists.

Male Deogratius alias Omusawo Tintah, a media personality and also the Chief Executive Officer of the Press Bpabeio Awards said that the awards aim at appreciating everybody who does an outstanding job for the Music Industry.

“We want to shine a light on whoever is doing good for the music industry by awarding him or her with a deserving accolade through a just, free, fair and transparent  nomination and contest” said Omusawo Tintah

Omusawo Tintah also urged government to subsidize on the taxes levied on Musical equipment especially those for the studios and events in addition to offering grants to those that run the industry.

Mutebi Ramathan alias Lord Bitem the Uganda Musician Association (UMA) Chief Whip who represented the association applauded the Awards academy for being transparent and nurturing the idea of Awarding outstanding personalities in the industry.

He thus appealed to every actor to support the initiative since it’s going to take the industry to greater heights.

The winners exhibited joy and excitement upon being declared.

Omusawo Tintah said that the nomination are done by the Awards Academy that is made up of Entertainment Journalists, music producers, Music Promoter among other key actors in the industry. And that voting is open to the public since they do it via www.pressug.com
