Ojasi enterprises has reached out to Iganga boda boda men with support and financial literacy to help eleviate from poverty.
Over 100 boda boda riders from over 16 stages in the various parts of Iganga Municipality gathered at Busoga East police headquarters yard for capacity building .
While addressing the boda boda riders Hajji Ojasi swaibu director of Ojasi enterprises Ug urged them to be hardworking which they can do through involving themselves in other works like farming and other jobs which will enable them elieviate from the alarming poverty.
He said that Ojasi enterprises is available to assist boda boda men with various empowerment programs if they get organized in their respective groups.
“Boda boda Men do tremendous work for us. This means we have to link up the gap between us and them ,as Ojasi Enterprise we aim at reaching out to them from grass root up to the last person that enjoys our services in our trending campany of giving back to the clients. we have gathered you here to seek for possible alternatives on how we can change lives by involving ourselves in side income besides our main duty of boda Boda riding ” says Hajji Ojasi swaibu director of Ojasi enterprises Ug.
He also urged them to always prioritize life by implementing the traffic guidelines thus giving them free reflector jackets to help them be identified while on road.
It should be recalled that the police issued issued guidelines to its traffic officers to arrest all boda boda riders without Helmets,reflectors , licences among all.
Mwanje Emmanuel, one of the boda boda operator at Saza ground stage says, Ojasi’s idea to support boda bodas with financial literacy is aimed at changing lives.
He added that many times boda boda riders are left out despite supporting various projects.
“boda bodas support every sector but wheñ good things come we are left out. The idea of hajji Ojasi to group us and support us in farming and Skilling programs gives hope and will change many lives “.
Ojasi enterprises is a company that deals in Agro Machineries, spare parts, engines and many others. It was also awarded the contract to lead maize milling machines under the government program of Agriculture clusters project (ACDP) aimed at supporting farmers in large scale production and value additional.
