Don’t go for DNA, it is meant to break African families just like homosexuality – Bishop Kibuuka

By Kabuye Ronald

The presiding Bishop for the Evangelical Orthodox Church (EOC) in Uganda Jacinto Kibuuka has cautioned the public against taking their children for DNA test since they are intended to break families and disorient society especially in African families.

Bishop Kibuuka’s statement follows the ongoing mixed emotions hot public debate about the increasing number of men taking their children for DNA testing to confirm whether they are indeed the real fathers.

Bishop Kibuuka said African families are always extended, having blood and non-blood children and thus any form of discrimination of the children is not only an attack to the children but an attack aimed at scattering, discrimination and breeding hatred and conflict to the entire family in addition to causing social disorder since it negatively impacts and affects every person in the family.

“DNA is not going to help African society in any way but it’s going to cause agony, sorrow, discrimination, suffering, suicide and homicide in the families.” Said Bishop Kibuuka

Bishop Kibuuka also urged parliament not to fall into the trap of those advocating for home sexuality since DNA is a war against family life and African families after failing on the Ant homosexuality act.

“This trend of DNA is being fostered in parliament. The aim is that after losing on the anti-homosexuality act, DNA system will be tabled to realize and fulfil the objectives of the homosexuality. DNA is a war against family life and African families.” Said Bishop Kibuuka

He urged the public to pray for God’s deliverance from adultery before urging them to hate the sin instead of hating the children who are the product of adultery.

“We must stand in prayers so that God deliver us from adultery on both sides. However, even when it happens, God hates the sin not the person. So we must pray to God to have mercy upon us and bring holiness in us so that we embrace and love all the children since none of them made a choice to come from adultery.

Let us not condemn one another but rather lets handle one another in peace, and let the mercy and the grace of God led us in our hearts, in our minds and in our work operations” said Bishop Kibuuka
