The territorial police in KMP East and Kira Division, are actively searching for a man, who allegedly murdered a female partner, at Silent Kireka Guest House in Kireka B zone, Kira Municipality on the 10.02.2024 at around 7pm.

The suspect identified himself as Mike Bilnego, had booked a room for a short service at Ugx 5000, and was given room 2.

According to Police Spokesperson  Fred Enanga, at around 11pm, when the lodge attendant went to check the room, she found it open, and switched on the lights, only to find a brown woman, lying dead facing down, across the bed, with blood oozing from her nose. The male customer/suspect was nowhere to be seen. The victims handbag was empty without any belongings. The matter was reported to police, the scared documented and victims body taken to the City Mortuary, for post mortem.

In a separate development, the territorial police, in Greater Masaka and Sembabule district are investigating, a murder by strangulation of a sex worker, identified as Nabasirye Mastullah, who had newly rented a room at Nalubega Betty’s rooms, in downtown, Sembabule town council.

The victim had spent only 3 days in the area, after shifting from Central ward, Lukaya town council in Kalungu district. She was strangled to death, and her naked body, left on her bed. Efforts are in place to identify the culprit behind the brutal murder.
