3,444 New Police Constables Urged to Embrace Discipline, Integrity, and Service

By Robert Segawa

A total of 3,444 Probationer Police Constables (PPCs) have officially passed out from training and received a strong call to uphold discipline, integrity, and commitment to national service.

Speaking during the pass-out ceremony on Tuesday at the Police Training School (PTS) in Kabalye, Masindi, ACP Ezekiel Emitu, the Commandant of the school, challenged the graduates to be mentally and physically prepared for the tasks ahead.

“The ball is now in your court to play your part. Prepare for the great tasks ahead. Transform the knowledge and skills gained through training into tools for overcoming the challenges. Be strong, confident, and believe in your abilities to succeed,” ACP Emitu told the newly passed-out officers.

He emphasized the importance of community policing, encouraging the PPCs to lead with fairness, uphold public trust, and serve selflessly.

“You must support wealth creators and contribute to building a prosperous society. Lead by example, prioritize service above self, and uphold community trust. Our nation’s future depends on your commitment,” he added.

The ceremony comes as the country prepares for the 2026 general elections, where the new PPCs are expected to play a key role in ensuring security and order during the polls.
