President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party Presidential Candidate, has wrapped up his campaign trail in the Ankole Sub–region with a final rally at Kyenzaza playgrounds in Rubirizi District, emphasizing infrastructure development, socioeconomic empowerment, and improved service delivery.

Addressing thousands of supporters, Gen. Museveni announced additional roads earmarked for tarmacking in Rubirizi District to expand the area’s current road network. He highlighted the NRM government’s long-standing contributions, including sustained peace and security across the country.

The NRM presidential candidate urged legislators to align national budgeting with the priority areas outlined in the NRM manifesto to ensure effective last-mile service delivery. He confirmed government plans to upgrade Rubirizi Health Centre IV to a General Hospital and elevate several other health facilities, noting that every sub-county in the district is now served by at least a Health Centre III.

Gen. Museveni encouraged residents to embrace wealth creation as government accelerates development programs. He elaborated on the NRM’s integrated wealth and job creation strategy—rooted in commercial agriculture, manufacturing, the services sector, ICT, and skills development.

The President cited various successful enterprises as examples for aspiring wealth creators and promised increased funding for socioeconomic empowerment programs to boost grassroots initiatives. He noted that budget enhancements are already being planned to strengthen the national wealth creation drive.

Museveni further pledged stricter inspection of all wealth creation interventions and urged both small- and large-scale landowners to adopt proper land-use practices to maximize productivity.

In education, he revealed plans to improve the sector in Rubirizi District, which currently hosts 58 government primary schools and 10 secondary schools, emphasizing that more interventions are in the pipeline.

Gen. Museveni concluded his final Ankole Sub-region rally by reaffirming the NRM government’s commitment to infrastructure expansion, improved social services, and community-level economic transformation.
