Kumi — The Omukuka of BaMasaaba, Jude Mudoma Mike Omukuka, has joined the people of Tooro in mourning the death of Rukirabasaija Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, who passed away yesterday.
Omukuka Mudoma described the late Oyo as an experienced cultural leader who deeply loved and served the people of Tooro.
He said the death of the Tooro King is a great loss to the cultural institution and to the people who looked up to him for leadership and guidance.
The Omukuka said the sad news comes at a time when traditional leaders were preparing to come together in early September to strengthen their union and work collectively for the benefit of their people.
He expressed condolences to the Tooro royal family, cultural leaders and the people of Tooro, saying the late Omusinga will be remembered for his contribution to the cultural leadership of Uganda.
