Omusawo Tintah to host Germany’s reggae singer Uwe Banton on Tagy Tv

Omusawo Tintah alias Male Deogratius will this Tuesday 10pm host One of Reggae music’s most unusual and fascinating artists, Uwe Banton on his Strictly Reggae Dancehall show on Tagy Television.

Uwe Banton is the founding member and lead singer of the band “Movements” from 1994, with performances in Germany and neighboring countries between 1994 – 2004

Omusawo Tintah a renowned media advocate, deejay, radio producer and music director on Metro FM through his strictly reggae dancehall show aims at giving vibrancy to the Reggae Dancehall music which he believes is the most sweet, educative and entertaining music

Uwe Banton – a short biography

• Born 28.11.1965 in Lage / Lippe (Germany)

• First steps as a reggae singer in the mid-1980s

• First reggae band “One Vibe” since 1992

• Founding member and lead singer of the band “Movements” from 1994, with performances in Germany and neighboring countries between 1994 – 2004

• From 2005 as a solo artist UWE BANTON

• 2006 first solo album “JAH Roots” in cooperation with GANJAMAN

• Various single releases between 2006-2009, u.a. “JAH Roots”, “Keep on Tryin ‘” and “Kommt, Seht, Hört” feat. Ganjaman

• 2009 solo album “Rightful Place”

• 2012 Solo Album “Mental War”

• Performances throughout Europe (Spain, Switzerland, Greece, Russia, Poland, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Austria, Netherlands, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ukraine)

• Festival appearances on the biggest reggae festivals (ROTOTOM Sunsplash, Summerjam, Reggaejam, Ruhr Reggae Summer, Zwarte Cross, Montreux Jazz, Chiemsee Reggae etc.)

• Performances outside Europe (Costa Rica, USA)
